A collection of harp memoirs
For the people of North Queensland, the local go-to person for advice around harps and folk harp making has been Jim Harrold. With wife Kay, he resides in Mareeba, and is the first to admit his health is not 100%. Our organisation would like to honour Jim and his generous contribution to the expanding number of harp players in the Far North and across Australia.
Some of you may have spoken with Jim, own one of his harps, had a harp mended, a string changed or been encouraged to take the next step on your harp journey. We invite all of you to contribute a photo, a hand-written note, a typed story or simple greeting to create a beautiful album for Jim and his family to treasure. Please spread the word.
Joy Zahner is co-ordinating the collection of this material and is happy to take enquiries or discuss how to send the material.
Please send in your contributions by May 31, 2022.
Thank you - your efforts will be very much appreciated.
