CRAZY SOUNDS ON THE HARP with Loni Fitzpatrick
Have you ever wondered what cool and quirky sounds the harp can make? Have you ever seen a harp fed through a live loop pedal? Prefer pop music and getting creative? If these pique your interest then you’ll love Loni’s introduction to extended techniques and presentation of live looping on a harp!
All types of musicians can learn from Loni. She uses the loop pedal to make everything from pop to dance tracks to to jazz to Ludovico Einaudi covers. Loni will give a special kids only workshop, followed by one for all ages.
RESONANCE MUSIC with Natalia Mann
Natalia Mann is known as the harpist who plays music with the trees. She has developed a musical practice called ‘Resonance’ where a person can tune into the frequencies of a colour, plant, object, or even a person, and translate those vibrations into music.
Resonance is an experimental way of discovering music by colour and feel. It is particularly useful for therapeutic music, and a powerful mode for improvisation and composition. All ages can use this gentle musical approach to discover more about the world we live in.
Proudly supported by FNQ Harp Connection & Cairns State High School.
