Happy Harpers - Malanda
In October 2021, it seemed perfect timing to gather harp players from the Tablelands for a chat and a good coffee. We met at The Closet Hippy in Malanda (photo). For some it was the first tune-up for their harp in a long time. Our hearts were full and our tastebuds satisfied. Most important was the inspiration to play regularly at home, even if it was beautiful long notes.
Fast forward to April and our group is growing with players travelling from Kuranda, Millaa Millaa, Wondecla, Cairns and Mission Beach. We now meet in the beautiful ballroom at the Malanda Hotel. We continue to learn, laugh and share over a cuppa with an invitation to stay and enjoy lunch in the adjoining restaurant.
